Monday 12th of March
Well, I moved the puppies to the Utility room today but this evening I found an old duvet and they are all in the living room with the rest of the pack . We will keep them with us every evening as the socialisation is so important.
The dogs are really wonderful with the puppies, so gentle and protective and Kasidi is very tolerant.
They breakfasted on weetabix this morning ,I know I must make a real effort on the weaning as Kasidi needs to know that the end is in sight as far as feeding her babies is concerned.
It will be interesting to see if I need to get up for them tonight now that they are a little further away. If I'm honest, I would love to be able to sleep straight through the night. Fingers crossed.
We are having a major thaw right now and tomorrow it could reach 60 f. Amazing to think we were so cold only last week. Today I managed a half decent walk with the dogs. It was such a beautiful day, clear blue skies and not a cloud in sight, a reminder also of why we chose to live here.
